Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Inter-Con established its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee to foster the Company’s ongoing commitment to informed thinking and action.

As the country’s largest wholly minority-owned security provider and a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a core element of Inter-Con’s success. Our dedication to these values has generated an environment of unique perspectives – from our ownership and leadership teams to our security force – that deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Our commitment has made us the industry leader in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts. Inter-Con is 100% Hispanic-owned, 4/4 board members are Hispanic and/or female, and 81% of Inter-Con’s workforce is represented by minority employees. Furthermore, beyond evaluating our own workforce, Inter-Con regularly audits the diversity of its supply chain, measuring against our ambition of a 100% diverse supplier base. While these efforts are ongoing, Inter-Con is intent on maintaining our role in advancing the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Beyond providing our clients with tailored security solutions, Inter-Con is driven to positively contribute to the social environments in which we operate, as demonstrated by our relationships with local businesses, recruiting efforts in under-served communities, and community outreach programs. These efforts not only improve Inter-Con’s working environments, but also create a more diverse security force that is increasingly responsive to our clients’ needs.

Our Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee is chaired by our Chief Compliance Officer and is sponsored directly by our President & Chief Executive Officer. The Committee sponsors ongoing educational and development opportunities, professional mentoring, and clear career paths designed to encourage our diverse employees to become long-term members of the Inter-Con team.

Inter-Con is also a proud member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and The Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council (Corporate Plus), among others. In addition, Inter-Con frequently seeks out women-owned, minority-owned, HUB-zoned, or service-disabled veteran-owned vendors and subcontractors.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a cornerstone of our corporate culture, and we value the opportunity to partner with organizations that share these values.
